Summer is the best time to visit for reliably warm, sunny days (daytime highs typically in the mid-70s to low-90s°F, nights dropping into the mid-40s to mid-50s) and full trail access into the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Creeks are pleasant for relaxing and wildlife is active, while hiking and group camping are at their peak; late June through August offers the longest, driest window for biking and longer backpacking trips. East Weaver Group Campground is a rustic camping facility with 9 campsites located near East Weaver Creek, featuring picnic tables, fire rings, and a vault toilet. Each site is equipped with a table and a stove/grill. Fuel, groceries, and restaurants are conveniently located 1.5 miles away in Weaverville. The road leading to the campground is paved, while the campsite spurs are dirt.
