<p>Located on the northside of Trinity Lake along State Highway 3 approximately five miles north of the Coffee Creek area. Surrounded by the Trinity River on one side and Eagle Creek on the other. It mostly attracts the tent camping population, but has several trailer length spurs. There are 7 sites with picnic table, fire rings and a vault toilet. The sites can accommodate a trailer up to 35 feet.</p>
Total of 17 units. Average max. trailer size = 35 foot.
The elevation is 2,800 ft. The campground is a single loop beside Trinity River with some campsites having a view of it. Half of the loop is almost level with the river while the other half is up a small rise in mature Douglas fir. The campground has a rustic, dispersed feel to it. This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques.
Open May 15 through October 31.
The parking aprons are dirt.
From Trinity Center, CA, take State Rt. 3 north 11.4 miles to campground sign.Turn left after sign onto Eagle Creek Loop and go 0.2 miles to a "T" intersection. Turn right and go 0.8 miles to campground on right.

Best season: summer. Summer is the best time to visit for warm, sunny weather and peak water recreation on Trinity Lake — expect daytime highs roughly in the mid-70s to mid-90s°F (24–35°C) and cool nights in the 50s–60s°F (10–18°C). Boating, swimming, and fishing are at their peak and the campground (open May 16–Oct 31) and boat ramps are fully accessible; the rugged access road helps keep crowds moderate compared with more developed lakeshore sites. Eagle Creek Campground offers a primitive camping experience on Trinity River and Eagle Creek. Each of the 17 campsites comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Vault toilets are available, but there is no running water. The road leading to the campground is described as rough, enhancing its remote and rustic charm. The campground operates on a first-come, first-serve basis with payment options including cash, checks, or using the Scan & Pay feature through the recreation.gov app.
