When do campground reservations open, and what time are new sites released?

It depends on the reservation system. Recreation.gov releases new dates on a rolling 6-month window at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, ReserveCalifornia opens 6 months out at 8:00 AM Pacific Time, and state parks set their own windows — anywhere from 5 to 11 months ahead.
