Go if

Families who want a lake base camp: the swimming beach, fishing pier, and boardwalk are all walkable, and shaded sites near Chase Point (site 13 and site 2 get good mentions) give you tree cover without losing lake access.

Skip if

Bathroom cleanliness has been hit-or-miss across visits, soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer are sometimes missing entirely, so campers who need reliably clean facilities should have backup supplies or adjust expectations.
