Go if

Fall campers with RVs and shade awnings get the most out of this place, Site 49 draws consistent praise for water views, daytime highs drop into the 70s-80s after Labor Day, and the beach crowds thin out while the Gulf stays swimmable into November.

Skip if

Summer tent campers will struggle: nearly all tree cover was lost to Hurricane Michael, sites bake in the midday sun, and the campground lists no tent accommodations among its site types anyway. Wi-Fi is also essentially useless, so plan accordingly.
