Loop SEYE offers 139 campsites tucked beneath a canopy of live oaks and palms on Anastasia Island, minutes from St. Augustine's historic district and a wide Atlantic beach. Sites include electric and water hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings, with shared access to a dump station. Expect $8/night fees and occasional concert noise drifting over from the nearby Saint Augustine Amphitheatre.
The campground contains 139 sites for both RVs and tents located in the maritime hammock a short walk or bike ride from the beach. Certain sites are paved and have accessible picnic tables and grills. Maximum RV length = 38 feet.
The park contains 17th-century Spanish coquina quarries that supplied stone for St. Augustine's colonial construction. The campground sits adjacent to the historic district of St. Augustine. Weather and SeasonsFall offers the most comfortable combination of mild temperatures, lower humidity, and excellent beach and estuary conditions. Daytime highs are typically in the 70s–80s°F (21–28°C) with cool nights in the 50s–60s°F (10–16°C). Water is still warm enough for swimming and boating, shorebird and marine wildlife are active, and insect pressure is lower, making hiking. Biking, and wildlife viewing especially pleasant. Winter and early spring draw snowbird RVers annually and remain the favorite seasons for many visitors. Summer transforms the landscape with lush growth and afternoon thunderstorms, though you'll want to pack extra bug spray and plan for steamy days. Mosquitoes and sand fleas can be brutal after tropical systems.
Natural Features and SceneryThe campground sits within a dense maritime hammock on a coastal barrier island, where twisted live oaks and palms filter the sun and raccoons patrol at night. The surrounding park protects windswept dunes, white-sand Atlantic beaches, and tidal marshes along Salt Run. Roseate spoonbills wade through the shallows, raptors circle overhead, and sections of beach are roped off for nesting shorebirds. The campground itself is heavily wooded with no ocean views, but the beach is a short walk or bike ride away.
