<p>Rivers End Campground is located at the north end of Taylor Park Reservoir. It provides access to the reservoir via a fishing site. A trailhead with parking for Matchless Trail is located on the grounds. Other activities accessible from this site include four-wheel driving, mountain biking, enduro biking and horseback riding. There are 15 campsites.</p>
The elevation is 9,400 ft. The campground is composed of three loops with only grass, wildflowers and sagebrush growing within the campground - no shade. The lower or middle loop overlooks the Taylor River while the other two loops, on each side and higher, overlook the Taylor Park Reservoir. All the pull-throughs are in the upper loops. The campground is popular with off-road enthusiasts and anglers. Firewood is available for a fee.
Open late May through September 15.
The water spigot is a hand pump.

The parking aprons are gravel. The pull-throughs will accommodate any size RV.
In Almont, CO, at intersection of State Rt. 135 and County Rt. 742, take Rt. 742 for 23.3 miles to intersection of Forest Rts. 742 and 765. Continue straight on Rt. 742 for another 3.7 miles (last 1.6 miles are dirt) to campground sign. Turn left into campground.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the warmest, safest conditions at 9,364 ft — expect daytime highs around 55–75°F and chilly nights in the 30s–40s. Fishing is at its peak once snowmelt has filled alpine streams and lakes, and trails/roads are most likely to be clear; mornings are best for fishing before frequent afternoon thunderstorms develop. Crowds are moderate on holiday weekends because the campground is first-come, first-served, so plan to arrive early and be prepared for strong, Peak months: July, August, September Avoid: November, December, January, February
