<p>Campground is in a mountainous region with beautiful scenery a few miles west of the Continental Divide. Recreation opportunities include four-wheel and OHV/ATV scenic driving. 23 campsites.</p><p> </p>
The elevation is 9,800 ft. Gunnison National Forest 203 The campground is composed of three loops with Timichi Creek running alongside each loop. Aspen and spruce trees provide shade for most sites while a thick understory of wildflowers and shrubs provide color and privacy between sites. Hummingbirds abound with their whirling motion. This combined with the sounds of the fast-moving creek and wind through the trees makes this campground a pleasant place to camp. This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques.

The water spigot is a hand pump.
The parking aprons are grass and gravel.
From Sargents, CO, take US Rt. 50 east 1.1 miles to Forest Access/Tomichi Creek Rd. sign (County Rt. 888). Turn left at sign onto Rt. 888 and go 7.8 miles to campground sign. Turn right into campground. NOTE: County Rt. 888 becomes Forest Rt. 888 (dirt) after 3.9 miles.

Best season: summer. Summer gives the best overall access and weather at 9,300 ft — expect mild, sunny days (roughly 55–75°F) and cool nights (30–45°F), making hiking, mountain biking, and evening stargazing comfortable. Trails and access roads are most likely to be clear of snow and the high-country wildflowers and wildlife viewing are at their peak. Crowd levels are moderate: the first-come, first-served setup rewards early arrivals but you’ll still see steady use on weekends, and you should plan for afternoon th Peak months: July, August, September, June

The Snowblind Campground offers essential amenities for campers. Pit toilets are available on-site, and picnic tables and fire rings are provided at individual campsites. "Bathrooms are pit toilets," as confirmed by multiple user reviews. Water access via a hand pump is noted, although one review mentions that the pump was closed during their stay: "The water pump was closed, but we had brought our own water anyway."
