Driving directionsFrom Gunnison, Colo., travel north on Colorado Highway 135 for 10 miles, to Almont. Turn right onto Taylor Canyon Road and proceed just over 8 miles to the campground entrance, which is on the right.
The campground is accessed via paved roads up to Taylor Canyon Road, which may have light traffic. The road is open seasonally and generally well-maintained. Some user reviews mention ease of access, particularly with the nearby Cottonwood Pass now paved.
