Best season: spring. Spring offers the best mix of mild weather, active creek flows, and wildflower displays at this 3,500 ft Sierra site — daytime highs are typically in the mid-50s to mid-70s°F with cool nights dipping into the mid-30s to low-50s°F. Trails are green and wildlife (songbirds, deer) are most active, making hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing especially rewarding; the small six-site campground also means crowds remain low compared with peak summer weekends.
