<p>Located off the Snowy Range Scenic Byway in the Libby Creek Recreation Area, this campground has been decommissioned. Fishing access to Libby Creek is available. </p>
<p>Libby Creek supports populations of brook and brown trout. Barber Lake, which is located to the west along Forest Road 351, is annually stocked with rainbow trout by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.</p>

Located off the Snowy Range Scenic Byway in the Libby Creek Recreation Area, this campground has 16 campsites (trailers under 22 feet), picnic tables, vault toilets, drinking water (sometimes), campfire rings, and pedestal grills. There is fishing access at Libby Creek and the nearby Barber Lake Picnic Site. Willow Campground is at 8,600ft.
This campground will have a mix of reservation sites and first-come, first-served sites for the 2026 season. If you are not reserving your site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by cash or check once you are at the campground.
Further down Barber Lake Road from Pine Campground is Barber Lake Picnic Site which features a retention pond. When accumulative annual precipitation allows, it is filled with water and stocked with Rainbow Trout in the summer months. Additionally, there is a nearby trail system that comes from Corner Mountain Trailhead.
Willow Campground has 16 sites. Sites are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. All sites have access to a vault toilet and trash collection. No electrical hook-ups, water hook-ups, or black water hook-ups are available.
Handpump water may be available in this campground from July to September. These dates may vary due to weather, well and/or pump maintenance, and water testing requirements. As such, we encourage you to bring your own water or call ahead.

Visitor opportunities abound on almost 2.9 million acres of National Forest System lands.</p> <p>The Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests provide year-round recreation opportunities for you. These activities include hiking, biking, camping, horseriding, OHV riding, fishing and hunting, just to name a few. Beautiful vistas await sightseers and photographers.</p> <p>The topography varies greatly within the national forests. Elevation ranges from 5,500 to 12,940 feet. The climate ranges from semi-arid at low elevations to colder and less arid in the high country. Frost may occur at any time, and visitors to the higher elevations should be prepared for harsh weather, including snow and high winds, even during the summer months.</p> <p>The Thunder Basin National Grassland provides unique opportunities for recreation, including hiking, sightseeing, hunting, and fishing. There are no developed campgrounds; however, dispersed camping is allowed. Best season: summer. Summer provides full access to Willow Campground (open June 20–Sept 6), the warmest and most reliable weather window at 8,600 ft, and the best opportunity to enjoy hiking, trout fishing on Libby Creek, and wildlife viewing. Expect daytime highs roughly 60–75°F and cool nights around 30–45°F; clear skies make for excellent star‑watching. With just 16 sites, weekends in July and August fill quickly, so reserve early (reservations open July 4) or arrive on a weekday for a quieter stay. Libby Creek Willow Campground offers a variety of amenities such as picnic tables, campfire rings, pedestal grills, and access to vault toilets and trash collection. Drinking water is sometimes available via a hand pump from July to September, though it is recommended to bring your own due to potential variability in availability. "Campfires at this site are only allowed in USFS approved metal fire rings." Additionally, there is access to Libby Creek for fishing, as well as trails nearby for hiking.
