Kayakers and paddleboarders who can arrive early on a weekday will find the lake setup hard to beat. The boat ramp is new, the views north toward the Winds are real, and $12 a night is a fair price for a lakefront site in Bridger-Teton.

Arriving on a summer weekend without a backup plan is risky. Locals park trailers in sites for weeks at a stretch, some spots flood during high runoff, and mosquitoes are relentless from June through early September. Bring all your own water.

Summer is the only practical season here. Daytime highs reach the mid-60s to mid-70s°F, with nights dropping into the 30s and 40s. Afternoon thunderstorms roll through regularly. Mosquitoes are intense from June through early September. Winter brings deep snow and frigid temperatures that close the road entirely. The short access window means you're competing for nine sites with locals who sometimes reserve spots by leaving trailers.
Summer is the practical season: boating, fishing and open sites; mosquitoes and afternoon storms noted.
Potable water is not available at this site. There is a vault toilet within the campground and at the boat launch area.
