<p>This campground is three miles off the Snowy Range Scenic Byway (Hwy 130) beside North Brush Creek. Lincoln Park campground is situated at 7,800 feet elevation and offers a great base camp to explore the Medicine Bow National Forest. It includes 12 campsites suitable for trailer, tent, and RV camping. Sites include picnic tables and fire grates, and potable water, toilets, and trash services are accessible during the open season. </p><p>Stump Hollow Trail, Cedar Creek Trail, and Kennaday Peak are popular OHV destinations and trails nearby. Kennaday Peak offers a panoramic view of the area. To plan your trail riding, check out the <a href="https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/mbr/maps-pubs/?cid=fseprd628451">Motor Vehicle Use Map</a> to ensure that you ride safely and legally.</p><p>Other activities include fishing in nearby streams that support populations of brook and brown trout. <p>Welcome to Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland! Visitor opportunities abound on almost 2.9 million acres of National Forest System lands.</p> <p>The Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests provide year-round recreation opportunities for you. These activities include hiking, biking, camping, horseriding, OHV riding, fishing and hunting, just to name a few. Beautiful vistas await sightseers and photographers.</p> <p>The topography varies greatly within the national forests. Elevation ranges from 5,500 to 12,940 feet. The climate ranges from semi-arid at low elevations to colder and less arid in the high country. Frost may occur at any time, and visitors to the higher elevations should be prepared for harsh weather, including snow and high winds, even during the summer months.</p> <p>The Thunder Basin National Grassland provides unique opportunities for recreation, including hiking, sightseeing, hunting, and fishing. There are no developed campgrounds; however, dispersed camping is allowed. Elevation on the national grassland ranges from 3,600 to 5,200 feet, and the climate is semi-arid.</p> <p><strong><strong>The following recreation conditions report includes a sampling of our recreation sites. Summer offers the best combination of access and alpine scenery — Lincoln Park Campground is open (June 1–Sept 7) and wildflower meadows, clear mountain days, and fishable sections of North Brush Creek are at their peak. Expect daytime highs roughly 65–78°F with cool mornings around the upper 40s, long daylight for hiking/biking, and frequent afternoon pop-up thunderstorms that bring quick cooling.
