Summer is the window. Daytime temperatures run 65–80°F, nights drop into the 40s and 50s. Water levels drop after spring runoff, making fishing and photography easier. Wildflowers peak in early summer. Winter drops temps to around 30°F with up to 5 inches of snow possible, but no services or plowing make access uncertain. Expect more visitors on holiday weekends despite the small site count.
