Go if

Solitude-seekers who want electric hookups and can handle a dry run setup will find Oakridge's wooded sites genuinely private. Call ahead to confirm restrooms are open, bring your own water, and aim for a summer weeknight when ranger programs are running.

Skip if

Lakeview's lakefront draw has faded as water levels have dropped, many reviewers describe locked or deteriorating vault toilets, and there's no potable water on site. Anyone expecting resort-style convenience or a swim-from-your-site experience will leave disappointed.
