Go if

Tent campers who want a low-key lake setting without the crowds of bigger state parks. Summer evenings include ranger-led programs, wolf howls carry across the water at night, and outer-ring sites offer real privacy. Book online to save $2 on the reservation fee.

Skip if

Large rigs will have trouble on the gravel entrance with low-hanging branches. No hookups, no showers, no dump station confirmed here, so if you need any of that, check the park directly before committing since amenity details are thin.
