Go if

River-focused campers who pack everything in: bring your kayak or canoe, haul your own water, and set up your tent riverside just below the main area for the best sleep. Summer is the window, when the water calms and temps hit 75-90°F.

Skip if

No potable water and no toilets (none at all October through March) make this a hard pass for anyone who needs basic facilities. Wildfire smoke can also shut down the experience mid-summer, and spring snowmelt turns the river fast and dangerous.
