Best season: summer. Summer offers the best combination of warm, stable weather and full access to Ruedi Reservoir for boating, swimming, and trophy trout fishing — expect daytime highs around 60–80°F and cool nights in the mid-30s to low-50s at 7,800 ft. All campground services and the marina are open, trails are clear, and water recreation is at its peak, though afternoon thunderstorms (especially July–August) are common so plan activities for mornings when possible. Because Ruedi Marina has only eight RV sites,夏s Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
Open into late Oct; fall likely offers good weather, aspens and fewer crowds than peak summer.
Reservation tips, booking windows, and free cancellation alerts.
Ruedi Marina Campground offers basic amenities suitable for RVs and trailers, including picnic tables, campfire rings, vault toilets, and drinking water facilities. However, it lacks showers, electrical hookups, and tent camping sites. As one user review notes, "The staff was friendly and the lake is beautiful but this is really only an RV spot not suitable for tents. It’s basically the parking lot of the marina." Firewood for campfires is recommended to be obtained nearby to prevent the spread of invasive species.
