Tent campers who want a quiet base for Collegiate Peaks hiking will find sites 6 and 7 worth the early arrival: they're tucked farthest from road noise, and the trailhead is literally steps away.
The vault toilets draw consistent complaints about smell, the $28/night fee stings for no showers or hookups, and RVs can't fit the sites, so if facilities matter more than forest solitude, this loop will disappoint.
