Side-by-side parking spurs are the real tradeoff here: privacy between neighbors is thin, and there's no way to reserve ahead. Holiday weekends bring crowds and no guarantee of a site.

Summer delivers the best conditions. Daytime highs reach 60-75°F, with nights dropping into the mid-30s to low-40s. The full campground operates during these months, and Beaver Creek Reservoir is at its most accessible for boating and water sports. Mornings are calm for fishing, but afternoon thunderstorms roll through regularly. Weekends and holidays get busy, while weekdays stay quieter for trail access. Spring runoff creates flooding risk during rain, according to multiple reviews. Winter access becomes difficult as snow accumulates.
Peak season Memorial Day–Labor Day; full services, warm days (60–75°F), best access.
The campground offers essential facilities such as restrooms, potable water (available only during the summer season), picnic tables, and fire grilles. However, users note that the parking is side-by-side at several sites which reduces privacy. Trash service is only available during the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), and campers are required to pack out all garbage during the off-season. Vault toilets are present, and water spigots are hand pumps.
