Driving directionsIn summer: From Idaho City, travel 20 miles northeast on State Highway 21. Turn right on Forest Road #362 and travel 0.5 miles to the cabin. In autumn: Take the southern entrance to Forest Road #362, about a mile past Edna Creek Campground. If you miss this entrance, you may encounter a seasonal gate at the northern entrance—turn around and look for the southern entrance. In winter: Travel 18 miles northeast on State Highway 21 to the Whoop-Um-Up Parking Area. From there, ski or snowshoe 1.5 miles to the cabin on the Pilgrim Trail.
The cabin is accessible by car during summer months and requires skiing or snowshoeing in winter. Seasonal gates may block certain entrances. Winter access is moderately difficult and requires parking at the Whoop-Um-Up Park N' Ski Area.
