Horse Camp Primitive Campground is a small, remote campground located in the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, California. It is designed to accommodate campers with or without horses, but lacks horse-specific facilities such as corrals or troughs. Key amenities include two picnic tables, two bear-resistant storage lockers, a fire pit with a swing-arm barbecue grill, and a lamp pole per campsite. A shared hand pump provides potable water when available, and a single shared vault toilet is on-site. While shaded by foothill pines, the campground offers no electricity or cell service, making it a more primitive option.
