<p>Located 13 miles SE of Grant Grove via Generals Highway to Big Meadow Road (Road 14S11). Five (5) units, horse corrals and vaulted toilet. Campsite elevation is 7,600 feet. This Campground is operated in cooperation with Sequoia National Forest and <a href="https://www.bcha.org/blog/chapters/bch-of-california-san-joaquin-sierra/">Back Country Horsemen of California - San Joaquin Sierra Unit.</a></p><p> </p>

Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the best conditions for equestrian trail riding — warm, dry days and cool nights make long rides comfortable. Expect daytime highs around 65–75°F and nights dipping into the 30s–40s; wildflower displays in meadows peak from late June into July and trails are fully clear of snow. Campsite amenities (corrals and vault toilets) are fully usable, though mid-July and August see moderate crowds, so plan reservations and arrive early if you want a secluded cor Peak months: July, August, September, October Avoid: December, January, February
