Best season: spring. Spring offers the best mix of mild temperatures (daytime highs typically 60-75°F / 15-24°C, cool nights in the 40s-50s°F / 5-12°C), abundant wildflower displays in the fire-recovering forest, and full creek flows for swimming and small waterfall viewing. Trails and primitive campsites are comfortable for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing without the peak summer heat, and daytime crowds are moderate — busiest on holiday weekends but generally quieter midweek. This season is ideal for Peak months: April, May, October, September Avoid: November, December, January, February
Spring rated best: 60–75°F days, full creek flows, wildflowers and good trail conditions.
