Trailers and low-clearance vehicles will have a miserable time on the access road. Also bring exact cash or a checkbook; the host doesn't take cards and may not have change.

<p>Meadow Lake Campground contains 15 rustic campsites with tables, grills and vault toilets. Small trailers and campers can be accommodated. Access to the Fordyce Jeep Trail is nearby. There are an additional 10 campsites at the Meadow Lake Shoreline Campground. This reservoir is a recreational facility maintained and operated by Pacific Gas and Electrical Co. (PG&E)</p>
The elevation is 5,200 ft. The campground is composed of two sections - Upper and Lower. The Lower section is a single loop with some camping sites adjacent to the South Fork of the Ogden River - wheelchair friendly toilets and well separated camping sites. Although none of the sites in this section have grilles, each has a raised fire ring and a pedestal stand for a cook stove. The fire ring and table are anchored to a cement pad at the end of the parking aprons. The Upper section is much smaller with more rustic camping sites and a wilderness feel. A nice day trip is the nearby Causey Reservoir, reported to be excellent for canoeing. Gas and limited groceries are available near Huntsville, UT on State Rt. 39. Firewood is available for a fee.

The Lower section parking aprons are gravel. The Upper section parking aprons are dirt and very small. A Forest Service RV waste station is available for a fee at the Anderson Cove campground, west of Huntsville, UT off State Rt. 39.
From Ogden, UT, take State Rt. 39 east 18.2 miles to campground sign. Turn right at sign and go 0.1 miles to the upper section or 0.5 miles to the lower section of campground.

Meadow Lake Shoreline Campground is located on Meadow Lake. Meadow Lake is a beautiful high elevation lake. It is a popular spot for off highway vehicle enthusiasts as there are nearby trails to access. There are ten campsites with tables, grills and vault toilets. There are an additional 15 rustic sites at the Meadow Lake Campground.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the warmest weather at this 7,375 ft lake — expect daytime highs roughly 65–80°F and cool nights around 30–45°F. Water activities (fishing, paddling) and OHV trail running are at their peak once snow has melted, and wildflower displays and clear mountain views make the shoreline especially scenic. Weekends can be moderately busy at the small ten-site lakeside loop, so plan weekday visits or reservations to secure a lakeside site.
