Best season: fall. Fall offers crisp, clear days and spectacular high-elevation color when aspens and mountain shrubs turn golden—daytime highs generally range from the low 50s to mid-60s°F with nights often dropping into the 20s–30s°F. OHV trails are often still in good shape early in the season, making it ideal for trail riding, hiking, and photography with far fewer weekend crowds than midsummer. Cooler weather also reduces insect activity and makes evenings around the campfire especially pleasant. Peak months: September, October, August, July Avoid: December, January, February
Description states 'Fall delivers the best conditions' with aspens adding seasonal color.
