Summer delivers the most reliable access and the best weather for hiking the nearby Iceberg Meadow and exploring trails off Clark Fork Road, with warm daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to low-80s°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s. All campground facilities (vault toilets, hand-pump wells, walk-in sites) are available, and conditions are generally dry and stable for car camping, day hikes, and family trips.
