Summer offers the most reliable weather and full access to Clark Fork Campground’s A- and B-loops, with warm, sunny days ideal for hiking and river-side relaxation and cool nights for comfortable camping. Expect daytime highs typically in the mid-70s to low-80s°F (24–28°C) and nights dropping into the 40s–50s°F (4–12°C), making both daytime exploration and evening campfires pleasant. Peak season; loops open fully in summer, reliable weather and prime access to river and trails.
Clark Fork Campground offers a mix of both A-Loop and B-Loop amenities. A-Loop has 28 campsites, 3 of which are double sites, equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and access to vault toilets. Water is available at hydrants in this loop. B-Loop, which features 60 sites including 6 double sites, has flush toilets and hydrants with potable water. An RV dump station is located near the entrance with a $6 fee. Roads and parking pads in both loops are paved. The campground also has bear boxes at some sites, though reviews indicate the number is insufficient. Cell service availability is not explicitly mentioned. Garbage disposal facilities are available, though some dumpsters are described as being in disrepair.
