Water-based activities and trail access are at their peak, wildflower remnants and green streams make this an ideal basecamp for exploring the geological formations, but expect higher visitor numbers and book campsites in advance. The campground has a rustic charm with no reservation system, making it a first-come, first-served location. Amenities include vault toilets, water spigots, picnic tables, and fire rings. A dump station is available for RV users, and there are options for both single and double campsites. Visitors have noted that while the facilities are clean and functional, they are basic and do not include showers. Firewood is available for purchase, and there is good cell service for Verizon users but weaker T-Mobile signals.
