Best season: spring. Spring brings the best combination of mild temperatures (daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to mid-70s°F, nights in the low 40s–50s°F), flowing seasonal creek, and peak wildflower displays—making hikes, wildlife viewing, and back-to-basics camping most enjoyable. Trails and the nearby Pozo La Panza OHV routes are usually accessible and not yet parched or dust-choked by summer heat, while sites under the canyon oaks offer pleasant shade and solitude. Crowds remain moderate compared with busy秋 Peak months: April, May, March, October Avoid: July, August
Described as 'sweet spot': mid‑60s–70s days, creek flows, and wildflowers after rain.
