Grand Teton National Park is located in northwestern Wyoming; north of the town of Jackson, Wyoming and south of Yellowstone National Park. By car from Salt Lake City, Utah is approximately 300 miles and about 5-6 hours from the park and from Denver, Colorado is approximately 550 miles and about 8-10 hours from the park. Summer offers the longest, most reliable window to experience Lizard Creek: expect daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to low-80s°F (around 65–80°F) with crisp nights often dropping into the 30s–40s°F. Jackson Lake and Fonda Point are at their peak for boating, fishing (cutthroat trout), swimming and long hikes into the northern Tetons, and the campground is fully open with services.
