Summer delivers the most reliable access and the fullest activity range. Expect daytime highs around 60-80°F depending on the month, with nights dropping into the 30s-40s. Warm layers matter even in July. Wildflowers peak mid-summer, and fishing runs strong in nearby streams. Weekend crowds can fill this small loop during peak season. Some trails near the campground wash out and may stay closed until later summer.
Open Memorial Day–Labor Day; summer is peak season with most reliable access and activities.
Ranger Creek Campground is open to self-supported camping as long as weather permits after season closures (no trash collection, water, or cleaning).
