Summer offers the most reliable beach weather and full services on Fire Island — expect daytime highs around 75–82°F (24–28°C) with cooler evenings in the low 60s, steady ocean breezes, and water temperatures comfortable for swimming (upper 60s–low 70s). All island services and ferry runs are at peak frequency, reef and dune trails are open for hiking, and the house is fully available for reservations, making it ideal for swimming, long beach walks, and water-based recreation. The Bayberry Dunes Beachview House offers several amenities designed for a comfortable stay. The house features two queen beds and four twin beds, with pillows, light blankets, and fans provided. However, guests must bring their own bed sheets and towels. The fully equipped kitchen includes a microwave, oven, range, coffeemaker, blender, toaster, pots/pans, eating utensils, glasses, and plates. Outdoor amenities include a large deck with a BBQ grill and picnic table, providing views of the Great South Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Pets are not allowed. Additionally, guests can access drinking water and flush toilets. The site is designed to provide a serene and secluded barrier island getaway.
