Summer offers the warmest, most accessible window at Owl Creek Cabin with long, sunny days (typical highs around 65–80°F, nights dipping to the mid-40s to mid-50s) and fully melted access roads and trails. Water activities — boating, swimming at nearby Holland Lake, and summer trout fishing — are at their peak, while hiking and alpine wildflower displays are excellent on higher trails. The cabin is not equipped with running water, but from mid-May to mid-November, a potable water source is located just outside the front door. During the winter season, water is not available and guests will need to bring their own.
