Large groups or campers who need quiet neighbors will gamble here, with only six sites packed close together, one rowdy party at Site 4 tanks everyone's night. No potable water, no restrooms worth trusting, and the outhouse gets poor marks.

Summer is the best time to visit. Daytime highs run 60-80°F, with cool nights in the mid-30s to low 50s. Trails and boat launches are fully accessible. Expect bugs and occasional wildfire restrictions. Snow can block the access road in winter. The campground's small size means summer weekends fill early, so plan to arrive by Friday afternoon if you want a lakeside spot.
