<h3>Overview</h3><p>The Holland Lake Campground and Group Site are located on the shores of Holland Lake in the Swan Valley of northwest Montana. </p><p>Holland Lake Campground is a great place to enjoy the Flathead National Forest. It offers clean campsites with great lake access and ample opportunities for hiking on the scenic Holland Falls National Recreation Trail.</p><h4>Natural Features:</h4><p>At an elevation of 4,050 feet, the campground sits among tamarack, ponderosa pine and Douglas fir trees. There are some sites close to the 416-acre lake; others are further back or higher on the bank. A variety of wildlife make their home in the area.</p><h4>Recreation:</h4><p>The trailhead for the popular and easy Holland Falls National Recreation Trail is near the campground. The 1.6-mile trail climbs 750 feet, following the shoreline of Holland Lake to the base of Holland Falls waterfall. </p><p>A half-mile from the campground is the Owl Creek Packer Camp, where horses have access to water and feed bunks, all available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Owl Creek Corral is available to rent for $20.00 per day. </p><p>Holland Lake provides visitors with plenty of access to water-related recreation. Boating is popular on the lake, as well as water skiing and fishing. Anglers can look forward to catching a variety of trout and kokanee salmon.</p><h4>Facilities:</h4><p>The campground offers 40 individual sites, a day use area and a group site, available for tent and RV camping. Some sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis and some are reservable. </p><p>Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Parking areas are covered in gravel, dirt or grass. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. A boat ramp to the lake, as well as boat trailer parking, is also available within the campground. There are no electricity or sewer hookups at the campground, however, there is a dump station within 1/4 mile of the campground. </p><p>The campground also has a couple day use picnic areas equipped with tables and grills. The elevation is 4,050 ft. The campground is located on Holland Lake and is comprised of two loops - Larch Loop and Bay Loop. Larch Loop is the first of the two loops reached on Holland Lk. Rd. It is located along the shore on a bluff. The Bay Loop is almost a mile further down the road, located on an attractive little bay. The campground is wooded with Tamarack, Ponderosa and Douglas fir. The Bay Loop has heavier understory than the Larch Loop, providing more privacy between sites. The first seven sites in the Bay Loop have delightful views of the lake and all pull throughs are located on this loop. For a cook’s night out, the Holland Lodge is nearby. WiFi is available for a fee. The Holland Falls Trail #416 starts at the end of Holland Lk Rd. and leads to the picturesque Holland Falls. Several other trails can be accessed from this trail; contact the Swan Lake District Ranger's Office for details. This is Grizzly Bear country; practice safe food storage techniques.

From Seeley Lake, MT, take State Rt. 83 north for 20.3 miles to Holland Lake Lodge sign (Holland Lk Rd.). Turn right onto Holland Lk Rd. and go 2.8 miles to Larch Loop of campground and 3.6 miles to Bay Loop of the campground. NOTE: Holland Lk Rd. is a very rough paved roadway that becomes dirt and gravel after 2.5 miles.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the warmest weather and the fullest range of activities at Holland Lake — expect daytime highs roughly 70–85°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s, perfect for swimming, paddling, and full-days on the trails. The lake is at its most inviting (water temperatures are often comfortable by July), boat launch and trail access are fully open, and wildflower displays and long daylight hours make for excellent hiking and wildlife viewing.
