<A HREF="http://www.usbr.gov/projects/Facility.jsp?fac_Name=Willow+Creek+Dam">Willow Creek Dam</a>, a part of the <A HREF="http://www.usbr.gov/projects/Project.jsp?proj_Name=Sun River Project">Sun River Project</a>, is an earthfill structure on Willow Creek about 15 miles southeast of Gibson Dam. This reservoir, with 1,530 water surface acres, 3,069 land acres and 11 shoreline miles, offers fishing for rainbow trout and kokanee salmon.

Summer puts the lake and warm water at their peak. Expect daytime highs around 85–95°F and water temps in the mid-70s to low-80s, ideal for swimming, boating, and long evenings on the beach. All park facilities. Showers, boat ramps, yurts, and rental units. Are fully open and staffed April through October, so you get full-service camping and easy marina access. Weekends are busiest: lively family crowds, heavy boat traffic, and quick campsite turnover. Book early if a lakefront spot matters. Mid-March through early April and late October offer beautiful, quieter conditions with fewer bugs and easier access to clean bathrooms. Winter trades amenities for solitude, though some loops stay open.
