Tent campers can't book here at all. Pets aren't allowed either. Full-hookup RV rigs wanting sewer connections won't find them, and the single dump station draws lines on busy summer mornings.

Summer delivers warm, reliably lake-friendly weather. Daily highs typically sit in the mid-80s to low-90s°F, nights in the mid-60s to mid-70s. All hookups, the swim beach, and the boat ramp operate at full capacity. This is peak time for swimming, boating, family beach days, and easy morning or evening fishing from shore or a boat. Expect higher weekend crowds and busy ramps, so plan weekdays or arrive early for quieter campsites and parking. Autumn, winter, and early spring bring low crowds, quiet birding, and undisturbed settings. Ducks, loons, grebes, pelicans, bald eagles, osprey, and hawks arrive in cooler seasons. Swimming is seasonal only. Some facilities close after Halloween, so confirm operating dates for late-season trips. The forest transforms into golds and russets in fall, and spring turns the understory emerald. Mosquitoes ease after the first frost.
Peak season with warm weather, perfect for water activities. Book early.
