Best Time to Camp at Hermitage Campground

The campground truly comes alive from late spring through early fall, with full services available April 1 through October 31. Summer brings peak conditions for swimming and boating, when the lake warms and the days stretch long into evening—perfect for sunset fishing trips or family beach days. Keep in mind that Missouri's humidity means ticks, chiggers, and mosquitoes are most active during late spring and summer months, so pack insect repellent along with your sunscreen.
