Full-hookup RVers will be disappointed: nearly every site is electric-only, the water and dump station close in the off-season, and the narrow access road gets uncomfortable for rigs on the longer end. Bring leveling blocks regardless.

Summer and early fall are magical here, when the thick canopy provides natural air conditioning and the historic village springs to life with interpreters in period dress. Spring brings cooler temperatures and occasional rain that freshens the trails, while late fall and winter offer a quieter, more contemplative experience—though be aware that water and dump stations close for the season (electric hookups typically stay active for those cozy winter camping adventures).
Peak season with warm days. Most facilities open. Reserve ahead.
