Cabin campers should know the units are small and reviews flag musty odors. Non-residents pay $54/night, showers run cold, and there's no cell signal anywhere on property. Bring your own firewood? You'll be evicted.

Fall brings the best conditions: daytime highs in the mid-40s to mid-60s, nights in the 30s-40s, and minimal bugs. Late September through mid-October delivers peak foliage along the gorge and trails, though weekends get crowded. Summer allows swimming but brings warmer temperatures and insects. Winter opens cross-country skiing and snowshoeing once snow accumulates, though facilities are limited.
Fall called best season: peak foliage along the gorge, ideal weather and trail conditions.
