About Molly Stark State Park

Nestled along Vermont's historic Molly Stark Trail, this intimate woodland retreat offers the perfect basecamp for exploring the Green Mountains. Choose from cozy lean-tos or traditional campsites across two peaceful loops, then hike up to the Mt. Olga fire tower for panoramic views that'll take your breath away.

Two camping loops with 23 tent/RV sites and 11 lean-to (3-sided shelter) sites.

Historical Significance

Named for Elizabeth 'Molly' Paige Stark, wife of Revolutionary War General John Stark. Land donations in 1939 and additions created the park; a CCC picnic area was built in 1932 and the Mt. Olga fire tower was installed in 1955. The state park opened on July 2, 1960.
