Best season: summer. Summer offers the warmest, most dependable weather (typical daytime highs around 25–27°C / 77–81°F with cool nights in the low teens °C / mid-40s–50s °F), full access to trails and the Wild Ammonoosuc River, and the best conditions for hiking, trout fishing, and nighttime stargazing. Campsites are open and services are available during the campground's May–October operating window, so summer gives you the widest range of activities and reliable trail conditions. Expect moderate to busy weekends— Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
