Non-residents paying $54/night expecting a proper swim beach will be frustrated. Sites are small and packed tight in most loops, no hookups exist for RVs, and some campers face a long night-walk to bathrooms. Alcohol is also prohibited.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Summer delivers the best conditions: highs in the 75–85°F range, cool nights in the 50s–60s, and full pond access for swimming and paddling. Memorial Day through Labor Day sees the heaviest crowds, so reserve ahead. Spring and fall offer quieter visits with crisp air and good color, though some facilities scale back outside peak season.
Quieter stays and stunning foliage; excellent hiking and wildlife viewing in fall.
