Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the best weather — expect crisp mornings around 45–55°F and comfortable daytime highs near 70–80°F at this 5,682 ft site, making hiking and creek-side relaxation ideal. The campground is open June 1–Sept 30, so trails, creek access, and the 11 first-come, first-served sites are all available; late summer (week 36) is especially pleasant. Weekends in July and August can be busy because of the small site count, but weekday visits feel remote and peaceful. Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: October, November, December, January
Best season; potable water available and trails/access reliable June–Sept; reviewers prefer summer.
