This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.

Fall offers the best combination of mild daytime temperatures, crisp nights, and far fewer visitors than midsummer—ideal for claiming a first-come, first-served site and enjoying solitude. Expect daytime highs roughly in the mid-40s to mid-60s°F and nights that often drop to near or below freezing, depending on elevation; bring warm layers for evening and early mornings. Trails, viewpoints, and creek corridors (if present) are at their most photogenic with autumn color, and hunting season can be Peak months: September, October, August Avoid: December, January, February
