This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.

Fall offers the best combination of comfortable daytime temperatures (typically 40–65°F / 5–18°C), vivid larch and aspen color in the Methow Valley, and much lighter crowds after Labor Day — ideal for photography, day hikes, and quiet campsite evenings. Cooler nights reduce insect pressure and wildfire risk compared with late summer, while many trails still have good footing before early snow; expect crisp mornings and mild afternoons.
