Best season: fall. Fall offers the signature draw of Moose Manor: peak aspen color and crisp, stable weather at high elevation. Expect daytime highs in the 40s–60s°F (5–16°C) in September with nights frequently dipping to near or below freezing, making for brilliant color contrasts and excellent photography, hiking, and wildlife viewing (elk and mule deer are especially visible). Crowds are lighter than mid-summer weekends, and lakes remain fishable and boatable through most of September before the first freezes. Peak months: September, August, July Avoid: October, November, December, January
Fall singled out as standout season for golden aspen displays and ideal daytime temps; highly praised.
