<p>The Cobbett Campground is located near town of Cedaredge, CO. There are hiking trails and jeep roads nearby. Water available. All but 2 sites are shady with a maximum spur length if 42 feet.</p>
The elevation is 10,300 ft. The campground is located along the shore of Cobbett Lake with sites nestled in a thick grove of spruce trees. It is convenient to several of the Grand Mesa's 500 lakes, a Forest Service Visitor Center, and the Gag Crest trailhead. This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. The parking aprons are gravel. The interior road is narrow with some tight turns.
From Cedaredge, CO, take State Rt. 65 north 15.7 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable, pleasant weather at 10,300 ft—daytime highs are typically in the mid-60s to mid-70s°F with cool nights in the 30s–40s—making lake paddling, trout fishing, hiking, and biking most enjoyable. The campground is fully reservable during the summer window, services are available, and insect-savvy campers can still enjoy long daylight and crisp, starry nights. Expect moderate crowds on weekends and holidays, but the mesa’s many lakes and trails help disperse people so a Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: October, November, December, January
