Noise matters to you on summer weekends. Multiple reviewers landed between parties of 12 and 16 blaring music overnight, and quiet-hours enforcement is hit or miss. No cell service compounds the problem if you need to reach anyone.

<p>Dutch George Campground is a lower-elevation campground located adjacent to Colorado Highway 14 and the Cache La Poudre River. It is primarily an open flat area but there are cottonwood and ponderosa pine trees within the riparian zone of the river, providing shade to some of the campsites. This campground is well-suited for larger RVs due to the highway access, paved interior road and longer parking spurs. There are 20 sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site contains a tent pad, fire grate and picnic table. The elevation is 6,500 ft. The campground, among cottonwoods, stretches along the north shore of the Cache La Poudre Wild and Scenic River. Camp sites are in the open with most sites on the river's bank. Tents must be placed on hard surfaces, not grass. The tent pads include tie-downs. It is convenient to the Cache La Poudre Wilderness. Firewood is available for a fee.

Summer brings daytime highs in the 70s to low 80s with cool nights in the 40s and 50s. This is peak season for riverside camping and fishing, when the Poudre usually runs at moderate flows suitable for wading. Expect crowds on weekends and holidays. Arrive early or book ahead for riverside sites. Winter sees snow and temperatures well below freezing. Spring runoff swells the river considerably.
Open year-round; fall likely scenic with cottonwoods and fewer crowds than summer.
